Colon Theatre

The Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires is one of the most famous opera houses in the world. The present theatre, the second with that name, opened in 1908 after twenty years under construction. It has 2,367 seats and standing room for 1,000. The collage is for you to have different views, since I could not only show you one part of that amazing opera house :) Le Teatre Colon, a Buenos Aires, est l'un des operas les plus celebres au monde.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone...going to see an opera is surely one of those romantic ideas you can do tonight with yourself, a special loved one or a group of loving friends ;-)

Love the interior of opera houses...San Francsicso Opera house is also very beautiful. I was lucky to get free tickets once and seeing a couple of other operas there...

Thanks both of you. Happy Valentine's- I'm not sure what time it is in your countries, but it is never too late to wish it :))

Maya- I never been to the SF opera house.. yeah what a shame are u going to say.. Here in Buenos Aires, one can enjoy a really great performance for just a few US$ (again 'cause of the economic crisis).....

Hi karine,

Interesting stuff. I imagine it gets hot in there in the summer - air conditioning? I've never been to the opera house (to see an opera) here either.

Bob - air conditioning everywhere in the summer that's for sure :) It is warm, but it is not as warm as it has been in Europe the last summers.

Dean - Photoshop, best tool on earth ;) helped me make the collage. 3 individual pix brought together in Photoshop, resized, and that's it.
