This marble-made sculpture, called "Le doute" is located on Plaza St Martin, and was created by the French Sculptor Charles Henri Joseph Cordier (1827-1905). It is a representation of the New and Old Testament. The young believer is seated on the open Bible of the New Testament and he's questioning his faith; his mind is put in doubt facing two opposite reasonings, while the ancient is trying to reason him.
