Those strange, colored, bizarre, interesting houses are first visible across Lezama Park, where stands the Russian Church I showed you recently. When you start seeing those houses, wether you're on a bus or driving a car, you immediately know you're on your way to La Boca neighbor, which is considered the most colorful area in Buenos Aires. Those houses painted of rainbow colors are the same as in the neighbor itself. Muralists have turned the district's side-streets into avenues of color. And frequently, you can notice "puppets" hanging from the balconies.

Very cool! At first I wasn't sure if these are really houses since some of the windows seemed to be painted on. But then I saw the stircase. I love when they are this colorful!

Hi Karine,
A beautiful place la Boca. Too many people sometimes, but the area reminds the 19th century working class Buenos Aires. Very photogenic too... it makes me think of Gardel's "Caminito"

Thanks you all!!

Nicola - I guess those are not actual houses but more like an "insight" of houses in the neighbot La Boca. You can see that those house are cut and do not have a back ;)

Pierre --Like your comment. And you're right about Gardel's. Caminito is indeed a touristic alley in La Boca packed with people, murals, painters.

Luggi -- I promise some other interesting shots, even more colorful.

Lisi, Carlos -- Matrix girl says thanks you 8-))
