What you're looking at is people looking at a football game in a coffee place. They have their eyes stuck to the Tv screen that must be somewhere in a top corner. Even the waiters :) Football is of course popular in Argentina, as it is in any other part of the world. The 2 national football teams are Boca (former club of D.Maradona) and River. If you're a bit interested, check out the links to know more. I bet the same interest will happen for the World Cup coming really soon now!

Recently we had 'El Superclasico,' the big game between Boca Juniors and River Plate which took place at La Bombonera (Boca's stadium). It ended 1-1, but it was a really controversial game as can be expected!

I prefer River Plate, but I also like Racing Club de Avellaneda, Independiente's local rivals.

Great shot you've taken and the restaurant likes nice too! I also agree with the people above, looks like you got them during an exciting moment!

By the look at it, you could parade in your under garments and they would'nt even notice.

Even if I don'know anything to football (or soccer) I've been lucky enough to be, some years ago, at a match in the Boca Junior stadium : I never could have imagined before that how much a football game could be so intensely moving!

Thanks all!

I will try to take more pix during the World Cup. I imagine we can get super nice shots of people while watching a game.

Pierre-- interesting your comment. This is what lots of people are telling me. To go to a soccer game, and live one of the most intense experience. I will for sure try that before I leave Buenos Aires.

Luggi -- Good luck with your French. This isn't an easy language. Bon courage ;)
